Citizens on patrol (C.O.P.)

Our COP walk takes place every fourth Thursday of the month, starting at 7pm. We meet at Porters, at the corner of Riverside and E. Cross Street. Bring a neighbor! All you need is a flashlight and a smile! Join old friends or make new ones. Dress appropriately for the weather.

ALL WALKS ARE AT 7:00 PM EXCEPT AS NOTED

WE ALWAYS WALK WITH A POLICE OFFICER!
but we must have at least 5 community members from the scheduled
neighborhood or the walk will be canceled and the officer/s sent back “in-service”.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
SUMMER – If it is 90 degrees or above at 6:00 PM or if a Code Red Heat Alert is issued the scheduled walk is canceled.
WINTER- If it is 32 degrees or below or the wind chill index is 32 degress or below at 6:00 PM, or if a Code Blue Cold Alert is issued the scheduled walk is canceled.

RAIN / SNOW – If it is raining or snowing at 6:00 PM the walk is canceled.

DOG POLICY – Owners are responsible for the behavior of their pet and must clean-up after them.
Owners are liable for any damages to property or injury to citizens, police officers or other walkers.

CHILDREN – Under the age of 18 may only walk with us on patrol if accompained by their parent/s or guardian.

The use of cameras, video cameras and cell phone cameras are prohibited without permission.
