11th District Town Hall Against Hate on Thursday, July 25, from 6-9pm

Please join Councilman Eric Costello and fellow communities members at the 11th District Town Hall Against Hate on Thursday, July 25, from 6-9pm, at the National Federation of the Blind HQ, at 200 E Wells St. Free parking is available in the NFB Garage.

Over the past year, there has been an increase in the dissemination of hate speech propaganda across the City. This includes a number of instances of KKK flyers and Identity Evropa stickers across the South Baltimore Peninsula. In response, Councilman Costello has been actively working on these issues with the Anti-Defamation League (Washington DC Branch), NAACP (Baltimore Branch), and BPD (both the Hate Crimes Unit and the Criminal Intelligence Section). The focus of this town hall will be on BPD’s and ADL’s efforts to combat these activities as well as a Q&A session for residents at the end.

We hope to see you there.

Have a great summer!

Thank you to everybody who joined us at our park clean-up and meeting at Robert Baker Park!

Currently, no FHNA meetings are planned for July and August. We are actively working on community issues but generally do not meet during the slower summer months. That said, we will post a notice if a meeting is called to address a pressing issue.

Hope you had a good July 4th weekend and we look forward to seeing everybody back in September!

See You This Sunday at Robert Baker Park!
