Block Captain Update January 2023
Block Captains and BCC'ed fellow neighborhood enthusiasts,
Bottom Line Up Front: Block captain info on our new website, Christmas Tree removal, and improving our Block Captain Google Drive.
1. Block Captain Info on our new website. Our sexy new FHNA website (see it first at the FHNA meeting 17 January!) will have a map that residents can scroll over to find the name and email address for their block captain. If you'd prefer to withhold your name or email, just let me know. [Note: names and emails will only be for block captains, not deputy BCs, and only for those in FHNA's boundaries]
2. Christmas Tree Take-Away. DPW will pick up Christmas trees every trash collection day until the beginning of February.
3. Block Captain Google Drive. With the new year, I encourage everyone to check out the Block Captains Google Folder - it's got a bunch of Welcome To The Block flyers, some tree planting info, and a couple other helpful things. If you'd like to add something, or think we're missing something, just let me know!
4. Our next Quarterly Meeting will be in mid-February (12-16 February) - I'll send a Google poll out with the February monthly.
5. Public Safety, Cameras and Lights. Reminder about the security camera network that our public safety team has put together. If a neighbor has security cameras up, please ask them to let the public safety team know (QR code to the survey attached). When a crime happens in the neighborhood, the public safety team looks first at their camera network map.
Similar note, porch lights are a great crime deterrent, especially in the winter months!
6. FHNA Board. Lastly, worth noting that we have several board members who will be terming out and stepping down from the FHNA Board in May. If you're interested in potentially joining the board, please reach out to Beth (CC'ed) or myself to discuss!
